The Tierneys have assisted many hundreds of San Diego County students in achieving academic success during their formative years.  These students have matriculated to the finest universities.  The Tierneys' children have benefited from their experience.  Their son received his bachelor of arts degree in history with honors from the University of California at Berkeley and his master of fine arts degree with an emphasis in screen writing from the University of Southern California's film school.  Currently, he is Quiksilver International's new media manager.  Their daughter received a bachelor of science degree in biology with honors from Stanford University and received her medical degree there also.  A dermatologist, she will soon be embarking upon a year fellowship to be certified as a Mohs surgeon.
